Operatie Market Garden is still known as the largest airborne operation in history. In September 1944, three airborne divisions and one independent parachute brigade land in the Netherlands to seize the bridges around Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem. At the same time, British Second Army will launch an attack north and advance across these bridges to Harderwijk.
