The Siege of Bastogne undoubtedly is the most well-known and most imaginative off all events that happened during the Battle of the Bulge. The US 101st Airborne Division, together with CCB, 10th Armored Division, 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion and other units, held a perimiter around the town between 19 and 26 December 1944 and prevented the Germans from using this all important crossroads town to support their advance to the Meuse river and beyond.
During this tour, you will be visiting a number of important locations around the perimeter and learn about how this perimeter was formed, the German attacks and how the besieged Americans held their ground while Patton’s Third Army fought its way towards Bastogne.
