Northwestern Europe was the scene of prolonged and heavy battles west of the river Rhine between September 1944 and March 1945. It took approximately 200 days before the Allies finally crossed the river Rhine in full strength and were able to finally defeat Nazi Germany. Battlefield Discovery focuses on this unique part of World War Two history. We do this by researching this time period, providing lectures and leading World War Tours to the battlefields.

De tour 'Operatie Veritable/Blockbuster - Canadese Sector' gedaan. De gids verteld het verhaal van de Canadezen op boeiende wijze. Vooral de verhalen aan de hand van foto's van Canadezen maakte het allemaal nog echter. Jammer is dat er weinig visueel te zien is in de omgeving uit deze tijd. Dat zal bij andere tours wellicht wat meer aan bod komen, omdat daar simpelweg meer van is. De verhalen op de begraafplaats van Groesbeek maakte indruk en geven goed weer welke offers er gebracht zijn door jonge jongens. Hele dag prima verzorgd. Lunch meer dan voldoende. De bus was schoon en prima. Al met al een geslaagd uitje waarin bepaalde zaken aan bod komen die de meesten niet zullen weten.
