Edwin took me on private tours of the Operation Market Garden battlefields surrounding Eindhoven and Nijmegen. Absolutely fantastic tour on both days. Having pictures and maps along the ride for both days helps one see how the cities and battlefields were situated in 1944. I especially liked all the private collections he took me. The stories the guides at those small museums told were outstanding and there was no way I would have known about them if I hadn't gone on Edwin's tour. Edwin knows his stuff and I stayed interested for the whole day. Would highly recommend

Personal stories combined with an extraordinary fact based knowledge about what actually happened, why it happened, where it happend en who were involved.
Was there dust in my... read more eyes? No. Tearing up when Jo read a letter to us while we stood in front of the grave of the writer was unavoidable. The respect for the people that lived or died during the events that took place at Arnhem/Oosterbeek could be felt in every story.
We enjoyed a private tour. Just four of us with both Edwin and Jo pouring their astonishing knowledge about what happend onto us. No question was left unanswered. I could have listened to them for a week!
I am sure that I will be booking them again on another subject and I can recommend Edwin and Jo to anyone who wants to know more about Market Garden.

I booked a personalized tour with Edwin to follow the footsteps of my father who was a paratrooper with Easy Co, 2nd Bat, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne. Edwin took... read more us step by step from the time my Dad landed in a field near Son, NL to the point he was wounded at the Cross Roads battle, west of Arnhem. Edwin is very knowledgeable and it is obvious he does his research and is a professional. When I booked I was wondering if we would get the "drive-by" type of tour but this wasn't the case at all. We left at 8:30 in the morning and returned at 6:45 pm. We would never have been able to find the sites we visited on our own. He had details that I had never uncovered.

Edwin provided a great experience during my recent visit to Belgium and Germany. My father fought in WW2 and was in the 4th division, 22nd Regiment. He was wounded in... read more the Hurtgen Forest in November 1944 and again near Prum, Germany in 1945. Edwin took us to both places. He clearly did a good deal of research in advance and that allowed us to closely trace my dad's footsteps. He even had obtained copies of my dad's draft registration and hospital records from his wounds. We also visited Henri Chapelle Military Cemetery where my dad's best friend is buried. Edwin had obtained information, including a photograph, of my father's friend. Our visit to the Hurtgen took us deep into the forest-Edwin had figured out exactly where my dad's unit was during that awful battle. Exactly what I had hoped for.
It was a very meaningful day and Edwin was great-exceeded expectations. He was very well prepared and made it an unforgettable day.

My father-in-law and did a "Band of Brothers" tour with Edwin a couple of weeks ago. I had read the book long before the series and we had both been... read more interested in WWII history for a long time. We also had the opportunity to hear a local veteran of Easy Company (he is still living by the way) speak a few years ago. We took advantage of being in Amsterdam for a couple of days to go see where he fought. Edwin really knows his stuff. He took us on back roads and to now urbanized areas where the actions took place that you could never find on your own. Edwin worked in some other Market Garden stuff like the Arnhem Bridge as well. It was an outstanding tour in every way. Edwin does other tours covering other actions in the wider region too. I can't recommend him highly enough! …
