There are many unique and personal stories surrounding Operation Market Garden. The Battle of Arnhem and the Waal crossing at Nijmegen are more commonly known because of the film A Bridge Too Far. In more recent years, the US 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment and more specifically Easy Company have become well-known because of the HBO TV-series Band of Brothers based on the book written by the historian Stephen Ambrose.
During the tour you will follow the trail of Easy Company, visiting the locations they fought over during their time in the Netherlands. Not only do we visit well-known locations from the series such as Nuenen and the Crossroads but also lesser known locations. Throughout this tour you will hear the stories relating to the experiences undertaken by Easy Company 506 PIR providing you with a unique and in-depth understanding into the men who fought here.
